On 20th August 2025, the corridors of Igala culture and the sanctuaries of academia resonate with jubilation as HRH, Ajofe Sunday Suleiman, the distinguished Chief Praise Singer (Onu Awohi Attah Igala) from Ehecho Ejinya, Udama District, Ankpa LGA, Kogi State, celebrates his birthday.

More than a traditional custodian of melody, he is a university-trained intellect, a confident mind, and a cultural flame bearer whose voice threads both the ancestral rhythms of Igala land and the modern cadences of enlightenment. Friends, colleagues, and admirers from far and near salute a man whose life radiates the twin glory of heritage and knowledge.

In the words of an Igala proverb, “Ichewn ki Okolegwu kpai omi aji lewa ade udama kpai etu kpo iche i , ”—when the drum and the river meet, harmony and abundance flow. So is the story of Ajofe, where tradition and intellect converge into a fountain of inspiration. He embodies that sacred fusion, a griot of the Attah’s throne and a scholar of the people’s destiny.

Like the morning sun unveiling Ankpa’s hills, Ajofe’s presence dispels shadows with confidence, intelligence, and an unbending spirit. His classmates recall him not merely as a fellow learner, but as a brother of vision, courage, and wisdom— “a lion clothed in humility, yet roaring with destiny.”

On this symbolic day, 20th August 2025, his name becomes not just a date on the calendar but a testimony of resilience, heritage, and divine favour. As he steps into this new chapter, the message of his people resounds: “the day may dry the earth, but the child of destiny will forever flow like water.”

From the heart of Kogi to the world stage, we say Happy Birthday, HRH Ajofe Sunday Suleiman. May your voice never wane, may your wisdom never dim, and may your path continue to mirror the eternal radiance of the Igala throne.
