Now, I am really assured that the good people of Igala Kingdom are the wisest political race in Africa. What I saw and heard yesterday at Anyigba, during the commissioning of the Igala House, shows me clearly that Governor Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja are just making a mockery of themselves.

Of the number of persons that trooped out for the commissioning on Saturday, just about 5 % that will vote for Yahaya Bello. They are largely anti-Bello. It is natural for people to come out and witness such a historical event, commissioning of their traditional house been built by the contributions from their sons and daughters, taking it to mean that the crowd that came out were in support of Yahaya Bello’s re-election bid is a shame and scam on the political reality in Kogi state. Some were rented, some are just well wishers.

But come to think of it, Yahaya Bello came to Anyigba to flag off road construction and commission the unity house, but only the picture of the commissioning of the unity house is shown, what about the pictures of the roads be flagged off for construction? So shamelessly, they came to Anyigba to scam and deceive us in the quest to get their second term ticket. This will not work, what a wrong political calculation. Come to think of it, this is our Igala land where hunger and poverty is the order of the day, our schools are technical shut down, our hospitals dilapidated without drugs and staff, our roads are not motorable, our brothers and sisters are been slaughtered by the Fulanis, infrastructural decay is starring us in the eyes. Upon all these myriads of problems, all that the could think of is commissioning of a unity house plus flagging off of the imaginary roads.

What we want in Igala land is how to eradicate poverty and hunger, infrastructural decay, make our hospital, schools, and roads functional and motorable, save the land from humanitarian crises, not all these daddy yo related projects. Hope the governor with the Ebigo agenda will build and commission also Ebira and Okun unity houses.

Seriously, there is nothing killing a politician like when he is desperate for a political office, while the political office is not desperate for him.

Come November 16, Bello Must Go is the slogan.
