The newly sworn-in Laision Officer 1 for Idah Local Government Area, Dr. Major Abutalib Abubakar Musa has resumed duties fully with an early sign of seriousness and sense of purpose.

KogiReports.Com visited Idah silently in our committed effort to monitor the activities of the newly appointed Local Government Liaison Officers.

Dr. Major, a trained medical doctor, resumes in his office as early as 7.30am every day. This action, if sustained, will motivate Idah local government employees.

The Liasion Officer last week constituted a committee made up of intellectuals with a mandate to review past activities of the Council and also design a short, medium and long term strategic plan for the benefit of Idah indigenes.

The committee which was inaugurated yesterday by the Liasion Officer held a maraton meeting at the legislative chamber of the council. The meeting will continue today as the committee has assured that a they will put in their best to ensure Idah people feel the impact of the council.

Dr. Major will today meet with different stakeholders on security in a determined effort to ensure safety of lives and properties in his domain.

Speaking at the inauguration of the committee yesterday, Dr. Major called on all Idah sons and daughters to join hands with him as he is ready to leave a positive mark in the administration of the council within the life span of his present assignment.

Some residents who spoke with KogiReports.Com challenged Dr. Major to do all he can to clean the rot in Idah council. They specifically demanded that the new Council helmsman carry out a staff audit so as to eliminate ghost workers. They held the view that the current wage bill of the Council is not the true respresentation of the workforce.

Dr. Major seems to have started on a right note but he needs to understand and meet the expectations of his people in good time.
