In a bid to find a lasting solution to the incessant land disputes arising from land allocation at the new layout, Idah, the Senior Special Assistant I for Idah Local Government, Hon. Ako Aduku Idoko has constituted a fact-finding committee to address the problem.
The SSA I, while inaugurating the committee recently in Idah, charged them to be diligent and transparent in the discharge of their assignment.
The committee, which has two weeks to submit its report, was also mandated to recommend to the LG proper ways and manners to handle the management of land in the area
In a remark, the chairman of the committee, who is also the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Echejo John, thanked the SSA I, for finding them worthy to serve in the committee.
He assured that they would discharge their duties with high level of transparency and would work within the mandate given to them.
Other members of the committee are; Hon. Abu Oboni, the SSA 3, Sumaila O. Suberu , H.O.D works, Mr. Enejo Atumeyi and the local government legal adviser, Barr. Nasiru Maidaula Aloki , who would serve as secretary.
In the meantime, members of the public had been called upon to make their input by submitting their memoranda to the committee to ease the committee’s assignment.
