Chairman of Idah local government council of Kogi state, Hon. Alhaji Halilu Alifa, has assured the people of the area of his commitment to the development of the LGA.
Speaking with our reporter in Idah on Wednesday, Hon Alifa said within his first month in office, his administration has shown that the local government means business when it comes to developmental issues.
The council boss stated that aside clearing the refuse site at Ega Market, his administration has also cleared a site for car park that will serve both traders and their customers.
He added that Idah local government council has also embarked on grading and rehabilitation of feeder roads to enhance trade in the area.
He called on local government staff to be punctual in office and eschew laziness.
Hon Alifa also called on all citizens and residents of Idah LGA to be security conscious and reprot any threat to peace to security agencies to ensure the local government remains safe for all.
The council chairman called on the people of Idah local government for support as he promised to be exemplary in the task ahead.
Commenting on the developmental strides of the LG Chairman in just one month in office, Ibrahim Ocheja said Hon Alifa has rekindled the hope of the people with his passion for excellence.
“Through purposeful leadership, Hon Alhaji Halilu Alifa has performed wonders within one month in office. Aside the wonders at Ega Market and the rehabilitation of feeder roads, he is unifying APC members in Idah local government making the party a big and formidable family,” he said.
