The chairman of Igo ward in Ofu local government area of Kogi State, Mr. Ameh Daniel has tipped Amb. Friday Ojima Michael as he next House of Representatives member to represent Idah Federal constituency.
Ameh made this known at Amb. Friday’s official declaration of intent to contest 2019 House of Reps election at Onicha-Igu on Monday.
Ameh thanked Ojima for heeding the clarion call of his people to bring government closer to them by representing them in the green chambers.
He described the aspirant as the man of the people. He noted that Ojima’s contributions towards the development of the community and his glowing antecedents stands him out among the pack of aspirants jostling for the Reps seat.
He stated that Ojima’s victory can be predicted considering the numerous impact he has made over the years outside politics and that his track records and his global achievements will give him an edge over other contestants.
Ojima, a world class scientist and inventor, is the CEO of Vivid Global and Managing Director Good Shepherd Medical Centre.
He formally declared his intent to represent the good people of Idah Federal constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) at his ward, Onicha-Igo, Ofu local government of Kogi state.
The Coordinator of Ojima 2019, Comrade Julius Atabor congratulated the people of the local government, particularly Onicha-Igo community, for having a person in the calibre of Amb. Ojima because he is a global brand.
He read out Ojima’s humanitarian, technological and entrepreneurial achievements that earned him global recognition and charged the people to give him necessary support in making sure he emerge as the party’s candidate and eventually the winner of Idah Federal House of Rep seat.
Atabor expressed confidence that Ojima will serve their interest when he wins.
The occasion witnessed an overwhelming moment during the address of Amb. Friday as the people started chanting “IT’S A GOAL” accompanied with the endorsement of his candidature by various group such as the Association of Onicha Igo women, youths and religious groups within and outside the constituency.
The National President of United Onicha Igo Development Association, Mr Micheal Ameji (Onuoku Attah), in his address, applauded Amb. Friday noting that “Ojima Ojo”, as the name connotes “God’s Glory”, has been a light that has brightens so many lives across the globe through his contribution in the field of science and also through his good shepherd foundation over the years.
Amb. Friday stated emphatically that his love for his country home and his constituency is the driving force behind his aspiration and also he assured them of quality representation as his wealth of experience will be brought to bare, stressing the need of using his national and international connections to influence and advance his constituency.
The Onicha-Igo born political exponent and an industrious son instantly ordered for immediate grading of Adubi Onicha-Igo road, The gesture which attracted applause and shout of joy for several minutes. He finally urged them to remain resolute in their quest to enthrone him.
The Onicha-Igo community leader, Alh. Abubakar Abdulmalik, Ward youth leader, Wada Abdul, woman leader Aisha Ibrahim, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Students Affairs, Hon. Omonu Joshua and a host of others all spoke well of the Ambassador and promised their unalloyed support.
Comr Baba Anana Stephen, on behalf of all the ward chairmen and GYB coordinators in Ofu local government, endorsed Amb Friday as their sole candidate for the forth coming APC primary election.
