Member representing Idah/Igalamela-Odolu/Ibaji/Ofu Federal Constituency in the of House of Representatives, Hon. Emmanuel Makoji Egwu has called on the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Idah local government area of Kogi state to work assiduously towards re-positioning the party to enable it wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections.
Egwu made the call during an extraordinary stakeholders meeting of the party held at the residence of Prince Adejoh Obaje in Idah.
The meeting was chaired by the Idah local government chairman of the party, Alhaji Shaibu Abu.
In his remarks, the Chairman charged all the members of the party to continue to exhibit the spirit of harmony, trust and total commitment to the promotion of the lofty agenda of the party.
Similarly, the Chief host of the meeting, Prince Adejoh Obaje, a former senatorial aspirant of the party, noted that the PDP remains the party for the people of the local government and the state at large.
He further urged the people to desist from acts that are capable of tarnishing the image of the society in general and the party in particular.
The extraordinary stakeholders meeting of the party was attended by prominent politicians such as Hon. Napoleon Idachaba, former House of Rep member; Hon. Paul Ukwenya, Hon. Adamu Idoko as well as all the members of the working committee at the ward level.
