The executive council and entire members of Idah Club6575 has expressed grief over the passage of a former Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi (rtd) and Senator Alex Usman Kadiri.
This was contained in a condolence message signed by the President, Dr. Abutalib Major Musa.
Idah Club6575 said the demise of Admiral Ogohi and Senator Kadiri is a big loss to the Igala nation and Nigeria at large.
The Club described the former Chief of Defence Staff as a highly dedicated military officer who rose to the peak of his career, being the first Naval officer to rise to become CDS.
“The news of the fall of the elder statesman came to us as a shock shortly after he recently celebrated his 82nd birthday,” Dr Major said.
He noted that Dr. Kadiri was an outstanding personality throughout his career and his tenure as Senator that represented Kogi East.
He further prayed for the repose of their souls and commiserated with their immediate families, the Igala people and the nation.
