Idah Club 6575 Condoles Attah of Igala Nation Over Sister’s Demise

The Attah Igala and Chairman Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Mathew Alaji Opaluwa has been urged to draw strength from the love and support of the entire Igala kingdom as he mourns the demise of his sister, the Iye Akwuma Attah Igala, Chief Memunat Opaluwa-Sani, her daughter and granddaughter.

President of Idah Club 6575, Dr. Abutalib Major Abubakar Musa, gave the admonition in a statement on behalf of members of the Club.

Late Mallama Opaluwa-sani, Akwuma Attah Igala, died on Thursday, January 4, at the age of 75, alongside her five-year-old granddaughter, Onechojo, when her home in Idah, Kogi State, was allegedly set ablaze by some assailants.

Dr. Major stated that “the legacy of your dear sister live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.”

“With heavy hearts, we, the members of Idah Club 6575, extend our sincere condolences to you and the entire Igala kingdom on the tragic passing of your beloved sister. We can only imagine the profound pain and sorrow you must be experiencing during this unimaginable loss.

“The bond between siblings is one of the most sacred and cherished relationships in life and her departure has left an unfillable void in your life and by extension Igala kingdom. We mourn with you and offer our support and strength to help you navigate through this difficult time.

“Your Royal Majesty, please know that you are not alone in this journey of grief and mourning. The members of Idah Club 6575 stand united with you and are ready to be a source of comfort and solace, as we navigate through the sorrow together.

“May the memories of your beloved sister bring you some measure of peace and comfort during this challenging period. We pray that you find the strength to endure and the courage to face the days ahead.

“During times like these, it is important to lean on the support of loved ones and the community as you epitomises unity.

“Your Royal Majesty, we express our deepest sympathies once again, hoping that the love and support of your loved ones and the entire Igala kingdom provide some solace during this painful time,” he said.

Idah Club 6575 prayed that God avert similar occurrence across Igala Land.
