Youths of Okpameri clan in Akoko-Edo, Edo State, have once again commended the ongoing rehabilitation of Lagos-Ibillo-Lampese-Okene-Abuja road by Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti while recounting their days of fruitless advocacy at getting government attention to the sad situation of the road in recent past.

Speaking on behalf of the youths in an appreciation message to the Kogi-born philanthropist, the spokesperson of the Okpamiri nation, Comrade Victor Ayemaniriemi Arogunyo, commended and appreciated Natasha Akpoti for the road rehabilitation works.

“Natasha has done very well, in fact, she has done what Napoleon could not do. For us in Okpameri in Akoko-Edo in Edo State, we are very appreciative. We love what she has done,” he said.

Comrade Victor went further to point out their previous efforts through media advocacy aimed at getting government’s attention to the road which yielded no result until Natasha came to their rescue.

“I am the editor of the PlatformNews.com that has done a lot of advocacy on the road. We brought Channels TV, we brought the NTA, we brought all kinds of media to come and do reports on the road and yet help did not come until Natasha came to our rescue.”

The youth leader assured Natasha Akpoti of maximum support, while praying that Natasha is given a national position where she will be useful to the entire country.

“God will continue to bless her. We will continue to give her support. That’s why we rose up as a group, the road maintenance under the leadership of Momoh to give her maximum support in terms of security, in terms of mobilization to ensure that the welfare of her staff, the security of her staff was topmost in our priorities and we have delivered that and we are doing the same thing as they have relocated to Ibillo-Igara-Auchi road.

“God will continue to bless her, God will strengthen her, God will give her her heart desires. And God will giver her a national position where she will be useful to the entire Nigeria more than what she is doing right now.”
