Kogi state governorship aspirant, Engineer Abdulmalik Muhammed Adama has reinstated his commitment to a better Kogi state.

Speaking at the inauguration of eminent group, Igala Youth Leaders Assembly Forum in Ankpa recently, the Igala born technocrat and philanthropist bemoaned the current state of affairs in Kogi and attributed it to the perverting influence of recycled politicians as well as absence of political will.

He pledged both economic and political freedom for all if elected governor of Kogi state in November this year.

Also speaking at the inauguration, Engineer Adama, popularly known as AMA, reaffirmed that Kogi state has what it takes to be viable, adding that if elected into the number one office, he will use his connection and experience overseas to put Kogi in order.

“It does not take two years to construct ten or twenty or thirty kilometers of road. It does not take four years to electrify just a community, or provide portable water or other social amenities that makes life easier for the masses. But because we lack credibility in the realms of leadership. None of them has the zeal to deliver. None of them has the capacities and competences because they are politically dependent, clueless and selfish,” he said.

Speaking further, the aviation Engineer was also quoted as saying; “We are lucky as a people to have produced the youngest governor in the history of Nigeria’s democratic rebirth. But the current narrative is quite contradictory. As Kogi state is in dire need of paradigm shift that could not be heralded by mere wishful thinking. I am not coming to rule the state for eight years as Nigeria politicians do. I will not take your little resources to expand my business. Rather, I’m coming to fulfill the mandate of Allah towards Kogi.

“I have vast knowledge of the people’s plight and I have been consulting internationally on how best to ameliorate. In sha Allah, within four years, Kogi state will have its own airport and sea ports. Above all, as Kogi becomes a subsidiary of Lagos state as hub of businesses, I shall ensure massive indigenous employment. These are few of my top agendas for Kogi state within four years after which, I shall return the government to a competent hands to continue the legacies, and I shall return to my farm.”

In his closing remark, AMA urged the youths to shun violence, thuggery and other vices inimical to the progressive agendas. He also promised to run a youth inclusive, transparent and accountable government if elected the executive governor of Kogi state.

Meanwhile, members and stakeholders of Igala Youth Leaders Assembly (IYLA) in their vote of thanks appreciated AMA for identifying with the group, and promised to work with him to achieve his mandate, as long as its for the overwhelming interest of all Kogites.
