Following the recent outbreaks of Cholera disease across Nigeria, a traditional medical expert, Stephen Arokoyo has called on the Federal and state governments to consider the use of herbal medicines in the treatment of the disease.
Arokoyo, who runs the Baba Lowe Alagunmu Centre made this known in Lokoja while speaking with newsmen.
He said as a traditional medical practitioner, he had successfully treated more than 10 cholera patients who recovered within hours of commencing treatment.
He said the use of herbal medication is quicker and reliable in treating cholera more than relying solely on orthodox medicine.
Arokoyo, a native of Kabba but based in Aiyetoro Gbede in Ijumu council area of Kogi State, said he is willing to offer his service in treating people who are down with cholera.
He said aside cholera, he has being able to also treat fibroids, migraine, diabetes and other ailments successfully with the use of herbs and root.
The trado medical man said he has being applying herbal medication in treating various diseases for the past 30 years; a profession he said he inherited from his father, along with other teachings he learnt from those in the trado medical line.
He also stated his desire to travel to meet patients wherever they are if the patients requires home service.
