A former acting Governor and foundation member of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Asiwaju Clarence Olafemi, has stated that Governor Yahaya Bello’s scorecard will be shown to him at the appropriate time.

Olafemi made this known while discussing current political upheavals in Kogi West with the President of Okun Development Association (ODA), Chief Fadayomi.

“Mr President sir, you will recollect that I foresaw these episodes and initiated a peace move to nip it in the bud but I was insulted, abused and devalued politically.  Sir, if they have supported my move we would have escaped the Dino/Taofiq episode, we would have escape the Dino/Smart episode, we would have halted the Dino/Bello face off and we would have avoided the current tension on recall or no recall.

“I am so sad where I am now. When I complained about marginalisation of Okun in federal appointment, I was insulted without decorum or respect for my exalted position as Elder Statesman in Kogi by agent of Government. Same governmeent that I have supported from inception for over one year, thinking our wealth of experience could help them. A week after my open letter, my complain was corrected and this resulted in the appointment of 4 okun sons and daughter. Since then this government have seen me as their enemy and classified as one her enemy when my God sees my inner mind that I wanted peace in the state and particularly my party that I co-founded and committed my time and resources to build.

“The situation became worst when it was alleged that the Governor directed all his appointees not to attend my mother’s recent burial, which was obeyed. Unfortunately for them, it was a huge success with unprecedented huge turn out from all political devide and from far and near. I have since sent my protest on this extreme behaviour that look strange direct to the Governor. His silence means affirmation of the allegation which is unfortunate and strange. I have therefore decided to remain mute and continue my politics as if the Governor and his Government does not exist at all. I did for 4 years with PDP government of Governor Wada.  His score card will be shown to him at appropriate time.

“The National reconciliation committee on Kogi was very clear direct as to where Kogi problem lies . From all indication it does not seem the Governor is ready to listen. God will help kogi and particularly Okun. I do not want to talk on Okun because Iam most frustrated by the way we allow ourself to use against each other. The height of hate attitude will continue to anger God and the solution is not insight.”, he said.
