Mr Kingsley Ogga has said he remains the authentic chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi state recognized by law and the national working committee headed by the former senate president, Senator David Mark.

Ogga was reacting to a purported congress on Saturday where an ADC faction led by Leke Abejide, representing Yagba federal constituency, elected one Sunday Maiyeki and Mamman Apena as chairman and secretary respectively, among other officials.

While speaking with newsmen on telephone, Kingsley Ogga said it was funny and laughable that a tenant who had come cap in hand to rent house will now suddenly becomes the land lord of the same house he rented, saying Leke Abejide ran into the party in 2019 to secure the party’s ticket after he lost the APC party primaries to contest for the House of Reps seat.

While describing the Saturday election as null and void and has no legal backing, he said there was never any prominent stakeholder of the party present in the meeting neither was there any national working committee members of the party in attendance and described the election as a ruse intended to deceive members of the public.

Ogga said to validate his position, he is still the current coordinating chairman of all ADC state chairmen in Nigeria and that his tenure as the party chairman of Kogi state will end after the 2027 general election.

He said by December 6, the ADC will be unveiling the party in Kogi West having done that of central and eastern senatorial districts, saying it is then the public will know who is the authentic chairman.

He said ADC has come to rescue Nigerians from the current sufferings of the APC led government and can not adopt Tinubu as its presidential candidate as claimed by the Leke Abejide faction who he said has been identified as a mole positioned to destroy the good intentions of the party.
