A prominent politician and respected national figure, Dr. Alih Ajuh, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across Kogi State and Nigeria, using the yuletide season to wish the people of Omala, Ankpa and Olamaboro Local Government Areas a future marked by peace, prosperity and abundance.
In a goodwill message made available to journalists on Wednesday, Dr. Ajuh, who is also a House of Representatives aspirant for the 2027 general election under the Ankpa Federal Constituency, said Christmas offers a timely moment for reflection, renewed hope and unity among the people.
He described the birth of Jesus Christ as a powerful reminder of love, sacrifice and service to humanity, stressing that these values remain critical to the growth and development of communities, particularly at a time of economic and social challenges confronting the nation.
Dr. Ajuh, a two-time Commissioner in Kogi State and a renowned accounting expert with decades of public service experience, urged residents of the constituency to remain steadfast, peaceful and united, noting that collective progress can only be achieved in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.
According to him, the yuletide should inspire compassion for one another and greater commitment to the common good, especially at the grassroots level. He encouraged well-meaning individuals to reach out to the less privileged during the festive season, saying such gestures would help strengthen communal bonds.
“Beyond the celebrations, Christmas should remind us of our shared destiny as a people. I pray that the coming years bring renewed opportunities, economic stability and lasting peace to Omala, Ankpa and Olamaboro,” he said.
Dr. Ajuh also reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people, assuring them of purposeful representation anchored on transparency, accountability and inclusive development.
He concluded by wishing Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and expressed optimism that the New Year would usher in better days for Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
