The member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, has been honoured with an Exceptional Leadership Award by the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
The award, titled “Recognition of Your Exceptional Vision, Dedication, and Inspirational Leadership,” was presented to the lawmaker today in acknowledgment of his outstanding contributions to education and community development.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, Associate Professor Habeeb Ayinla noted that the Vice Chancellor had planned to present the award personally during the last convocation ceremony held on October 14, 2025, which the lawmaker briefly attended due to his tight official schedule.
Associate Prof. Ayinla commended Hon. Abdulraheem for his numerous contributions to the development of the university and his remarkable educational outreach programs across Kogi State. He described the lawmaker as a leader whose actions have had a lasting impact on the academic community.
While receiving the award, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem expressed deep appreciation to the management of the Federal University Lokoja for the recognition, describing it as a great honour from a reputable institution. He praised the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akinwumi, for the rapid transformation witnessed in the university under his leadership.
According to Hon SEA, Prof. Akinwumi’s persuasive and inclusive approach has reoriented the public to understand that the development of educational institutions is not solely the government’s responsibility but a collective societal duty.
“I will continue to support education in my constituency and Federal institutions for the overall development of Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and for the progress of our great nation,” he stated.
