Hon. Salman Idris, member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, has promised to address the acute water shortage in some parts of Igbolayere/Ilayere Ward, Ijumu local government area of Kogi state.
The federal lawmaker made the promise when he visited the community during the recent eid-al fitr celebrations.
After paying a courtesy visit to Kabiyesi, His Royal Majesty Oba Rabiu Oladimeji Sule, as part of Eid-al-Fitr celebrations, Hon. Idris inspected the ward’s water system, leading to an on-the-spot approval for a motorized overhead tank powered by a solar system.
Hon. Idris, who was warmly received by party faithful who gathered in front of the APC ward secretariat with women dancing and youths cheering in appreciation of his impactful representation, assured the people of his commitment to their welfare.



Following the water system approval, Hon. Idris and his entourage proceeded to High Chief Shuaib Ipinmisho’s residence, accompanied by community leaders and APC members from the three wards of Igbolayere/Ilaere, Okoro/Igah, and Ileteju/Origa where new members were formally received into the All Progressives Congress by the ward Chairman, assisted by Hon. Idris, Chief Ipinmisho and other party stakeholders.
The event was attended by notable community and party leaders, including Chief Mike Akande-Elebu of Ogidi, Chief Jerry Owonubi-Olulokun, Hon. Wasiu Suleiman, Ward Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Toyin Osadare, another Ward Special Assistant, Hon. Paul Alla, immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Lara Olorunshola, immediate past councillor of the ward, serving councillors, and other party and community leaders. They all gathered to show their support for Hon. Idris’s efforts to drive development in his constituency.
