The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency, Hon Rabiu Mommoh Alfa has called for peace among party stalwart in the Ankpa local government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He made the position while making comments at the grand reception of Hon Ahmed Mohammed defection to the ruling All Progressive Congress at his Ward in Okenyi, Ankpa local government.
Hon Rabiu in his words maintained that peace was a panacea to the development of every society calling on party leaders to settle whatever dispute may be between the duo of defecting Hon Ahmed Mohammed and Hon Abdulmumin. He stressed on power belonging to God with a special note on why politicians must at all time imbibe the spirit of patriotism stressing that the welfare of the electorates supersede any political or individual interest.
Hon Ahmed Mohammed while making his defection speech noted that three things inspired him into the new party. They in his words include; the party(APC)’s unity, governor’s love toward him despite been an erstwhile PDP member and his resolve to draw more dividends to the people of Ankpa 1 constituency.
Following the official defection. Hon Ahmed Mohammed proceeded to the party Secretariat Ankpa after which homage was paid to Alhaji Isiaka Wali, an All Progressive Congress (APC) leader in the area who is also believed to be the father of Ankpa politics.
