Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed in the state of Kogi has congratulated the Muslims in the country, especially those in the state for successfully completing the 30-day fast, for spiritual renewal, consistent with the faith and way of life of Islam.
In a press statement signed by his Media aide, Danfulani Ohinoyi Lukman, and made available to Kogireports, Hon. Lawi reminded Muslims to demonstrate the benefits of the ramadhan fast in maturity, patience, goodwill and good neighbourliness in a peaceful environment, recognising that Islam is a religion of peace.

Hon. Lawi urged citizens of other faith to celebrate with their Muslim brothers and sisters and empathise with their
desire for peaceful co-existence with them.
He urged all citizens of the state at this hour of reflection and celebration to keep faith and hope alive that what the APC government led by Governor Yahaya Bello started about some months ago will, in Allah’s incomparable grace, be accomplished, regardless of enormous challenges we face in the state.
“However, with the spiritual renewal gained from the fasting and prayers, normalcy is beginning to crawl back, to the
extent that the Governor can promise to accomplish all the projects he had promised since he came to power in January 2016”, the statement read.
Hon. Lawi thanked the people of the state for the patience they have had in this trying time, and assured them that although it had been very challenging but Allah will stand by all of us to re-invent and accomplish what was started so gloriously before the end of this tenure.
In the words of the APC stalwart, ‘No matter the tears we have shed, no matter the pain we have endured, with our faith in Allah and our commitment to progress, we shall be victorious’.
