Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Grassroots Sensitization, Hon. Ibrahim Dangana, has pledged to leverage his office to aggressively mobilize, sensitize grassroots and the electorate, with the ultimate goal of reelecting Governor Usman Ododo in 2027.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday, Dangana described grassroot mobilization and sensitization as crucial components of any successful political strategy.
He added that it will serve as the foundation for building robust and energetic grassroots political structures that can drive electoral success.
He said by engaging with local communities, politicians can foster a sense of ownership and participation, ultimately leading to increased voter turnout and support.
“This initiative underscores the importance of grassroots engagement in shaping electoral outcomes, highlights the need for politicians to connect with local communities.
“Effective grassroots mobilization involves educating and empowering local leaders, who can then champion the cause and mobilize their networks. This approach not only helps to build a strong support base but also ensures that politicians remain accountable to the people they serve.
“By prioritizing grassroots mobilization and sensitization, politicians can tap into the collective energy and enthusiasm of local communities, creating a powerful force that can drive electoral success and shape the future of governance,” he said.
The SSA on grassroot sensitization expressed his gratitude to Governor Ododo, pointing out that he has proven that his administration is inclusive and all encompassing.
