When performance becomes the habit of a political office holder, the lies and false accusations of non performance against such a person fades in to thin air. If such lies doesn’t fade, the naysayers in their campaigns confusingly and unconsciously call the voters to vote everything the incumbent represents without knowing so.

The key performance indicators for any legislator are first and foremost his green chamber activities; Bills and Motions. Therefore, a legislator without voice in the chambers doesn’t deserve to be there at all as it is that voice that will eventually lure beneficial constituency projects for the people.

The Member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal constituency, Hon Hassan Omale has performed creditably well if the expected yardstick are purposefully used in measuring his performance.  He has proven  his naysayers wrong by consistently proving that he isn’t among those referred to as ‘tongue tied representatives.

In his first motion, he called on the federal Government to connect his constituency to the Geregu National grid for a better power supply. The legislator also called on the Federal Government to provide a lasting solution to the erosion menace in his constituency by establishing a commission that will be vested with the responsibility of  tackling  all natural disasters in Kogi east with its  headquarters to be situated in Ankpa.

As a result of the constant clash between farmers and herdsmen in his Constituency, the eloquent Hon Hassan Omale moved a motion calling on the federal Government to establish more Animal feeds factories in Nigeria to curtail such clashes which was hitherto having a negative impact on his people in Omala local Government. The Legislator also moved a motion that prevented the transmission company of Nigeria (TCN)  from moving their equipment out of Kogi east to the benefit of Igala land.  (A tall order you will agree with me) Hon Hassan Omale also moved the motion compelling the Federal Maintenance Agency to rehabilitate the Anyigba /Ankpa road and the effect was immediate.

The Legislator further moved another motion urging the Federal Government to  compel the Ministry of power, works and Housing to include the Anyigba, Ankpa and Otukpa road in the 2018 budget. You will agree with me that, it’s the major connecting road for the people of his Constituency at the moment.

Hon Hassan Omale, also among his other motions, called on the Federal Government to complete all abandoned projects in the country of which Ajaokuta steel was his pivotal point so that Kogites will have employment opportunities. That epoch making motion compelled the Speaker House of representatives Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara and others to embark on their first official visit to Ajaokuta in particular and the confluence state in General.

The never say die Legislator has consistently proved naysayers wrong that he is a representative with the required capacity to deliver in all legislative aspects. He has succinctly showed his desire to ameliorate the suffering of his constituents through his constituency projects which are visible in road rehabilitation, rural electrification, provision of potable water, building of health care centres, building of classrooms, training and re-training of unemployed youths and elderly women through skill acquisition programmes to make them self employed and dependable, provision of A’level scholarship and distribution of poverty alleviation materials to selected needy from his Constituency.

Honourable Hassan A. Omale has certainly redefined the role of representatives of Ankpa,  Omala and Olamaboro Constituency.

Hon Omale’s popular phrase is “Let the people know what a legislator has the capacity to do. Let all be able to ask Questions.”
