In our clime, we live in a world in which primordial interests like political affiliation, religion, tribe, status, gender and other lame differences becloud our sense of judgment, ideology and philosophy.
For some of us (political animals and discerning minds) who are concerned for peace, equanimity, triumph of reason and fair justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest goodwill exert upon events in our daily endeavours.
Without mincing words, Hon. Duro Meseko has immense goodwill and tremendous fan base that cuts across political consideration.
In Kogi State, and by extension Nigeria, when you talk about earning immeasurable respect of the people without recourse to inducement and gratification, he is first among his contemporaries.
In the time past, most Politicians have the primary notion of changing their lifestyles; crave for wealth, grandeur and opulence and use power and position excessively at the detriment of the indigent majority.
In the former occupier of the green dome political lexicon, you have what you could barely imagined or bargained for.
Facts are immutable. Meseko thinks solely on how to bring succour and good conditions for the people without expecting a mere thank you in return.
For a fact, he has continually opined that his life and purpose in life belongs to the people and as he lives, it is a privilege to do for the people whatever he can.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) member is an exact replica of the axiom that says, ” nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. “
In more than half a century of his living, Durosinmi has been very meticulous, highly industrious and decently invaluable asset who can guarantee the people an infinite and assured future – where hope, potentials and possibilities can be maximally utilized to the benefit of humanity.
He has never deviated from this trajectory.
By these nexus, I have no iota of pessimism that Kogi state and beyond can be moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of tiny pushes of each honest and privileged few individuals.
Intentionality should be the core essentials and topmost priority of all Politicians in the area of community development.
Hon. Duro Meseko has a well – thought of deliberate and strategic plan to make a difference from the status quo, in the face of glaring lack, needs and under-development.
For real, we must have it at the back of our thinking caps that development doesn’t occur sporadically or by chance.
It can only be attained through the synergized efforts of leadership ingenuity having the political will-power to make an indelible impact.
Fittingly, the attainment of leadership position doesn’t come by default; it is made possible by leghthy years of steadfastness, unrelenting sacrifice, unstinted commitment to service delivery and more visible servant – leadership demeanours to the people.
With no equivocations, Hon. Meseko believes in individuals capacity to better himself, had a moment of inspiration, hope and confidence in the future of the human race.
Albeit, a very silent achiever and philanthropist of immense repute, he has continued to facilitate job & life – changing opportunities to his people.
By this laudable gesture, he is definitely teaching his numerous benefactors how to hunt for fish rather than giving them fish to eat all the time.
By his philanthropic gestures, he is teaching his followers that unholy wealth acquisition is not a prerequisite to care for your fellow being.
In summary, the genuine love of mankind and touching people’s lives is not a rocket science. We can also make an impact like Hon. Durosinmi Meseko; all we need to do is to think beyond one’s self, endeavour to help humanity and lead for the greater good.
