House of Representatives candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Dekina-Bassa federal constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon Usman Okai Austin has extended condolences to the entire people of Bassa Local Government, and particularly to the esteemed community of Bassa-Nge, on the passing of their monarch, Brigadier General Abu Ali (Rtd).
In a statement on Wednesday, Okai said General Abu Ali, a former Military Administrator of Bauchi State, was not only a distinguished officer but also a father, leader, and pillar of our community.
He said the late monarch’s lifelong dedication to service—both in the military and in public administration—left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
“His passing is a significant loss to our people and to all who knew him.
“As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate his legacy of integrity, courage, and commitment to the development of our society.
“In this moment of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with his family, the Bassa Traditional Council, and all who mourn his passing. May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may Allah grant his loved ones the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss,” he added.
