The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State house of assembly, Hon. Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has expressed shock on hearing the news of the death of Alhaji Idris Tahiru.
The deceased who passed away at the early hours of Thursday 20th April, 2017 was until his death the chief Imam of JIBWIS, Ojoku Ankpa.
While reacting to the news, he said: “this is indeed a great loss and irreplaceable vacuum for the people of Ankpa, Kogi and Nigeria in general” noting that the deceased schooler lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
He further eulogised his good legacies and exceptional prowess in religious tolerance, keen interest at impacting knowledge to others and his overall commitment towards ensuring a morally sound society. He thereafter expressed his deep condolences to the immediate family of the deceased cleric, his friends and acolytes as well as the good people of Ojoku in general.
His concluding words were: “indeed death is a door every soul must pass through and when ever it occurs, it is only availing us the opportunity to review our existence. I take solace in the fact that Imam lived an exemplary life and hopefully, he is now in a better company than we have in this world”.
