Hon. Alfa Ebune, Secretary, Ukomu Igala Organization, Dekina Local Government Area Chapter, has heartily congratulated His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Usman Obaje, the Ejeh of Dekina, on the historic occasion of his 30th anniversary on the throne, describing the milestone as a rare testament to enduring leadership, wisdom, and selfless service to the people.
According to Hon. Ebune, the three decades reign of the Ejeh of Dekina represents far more than the passage of time; it symbolises 30 years of peace, unity, stability, and purposeful traditional leadership. He noted that under the royal father’s watch, Dekina has continued to enjoy relative peace and harmony despite occasional communal differences that could have threatened coexistence.
He commended the Ejeh for his firm, fatherly, and inclusive leadership style, which has consistently promoted dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect among the diverse communities within the local government area, thereby strengthening social cohesion and mutual understanding.
Hon. Ebune further observed that the reign of Alhaji Usman Obaje has ushered in notable progress across social, cultural, and developmental spheres, positioning Dekina as a beacon of traditional leadership rooted in justice, wisdom, and fairness.
He called on sons and daughters of Dekina, both at home and in the diaspora, to celebrate, honour, and continue to support the monarch, who has devoted three decades of his life to the service of his people and the preservation of Igala cultural heritage.
“This celebration is not merely about 30 years on the throne, but about 30 years of peace, unity, love, and steady progress,” Hon. Ebune emphasized.
He prayed for His Royal Majesty’s continued good health, renewed strength, and divine wisdom, while wishing him many more fruitful years of impactful leadership as the Ejeh of Dekina.
