On Saturday 30th July 2016, as a special guest of honor, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed attended the graduation ceremony of students of Unity Comprehensive secondary school Ankpa, and announced a scholarship for five students who perfomed excellently during the display of skills.
He stated that the scholarship is intended to cover the remaining years in the school and up to university level.
The names of the students are;
1. Musa Sa’adat (SS1)
2. Rashidat Okpanachi (SS1)
3. Fosilat Lawal (SS1)
4. Amina Halilu (SS1)
5. Stella Pius (SS1)
The five students are member’s of the school press club and they all displayed excellently in their communication and verbal skills.
Addressing the audience, Hon. Ahmed encourages the students to take their academic as a priority and also commend the teachers for putting their best to ensure that the students are sound in character and learning.
He said “The modality of the scholarships is through giving free education to students in the secondary schools, which will cover their education, feeding, and accommodation (for boarding students) from JSS 1 to SS3″. This will motivate them to study hard and also qualify them to get admission in any university of their choice”.
“This motivation is Bourne out of the love and the passion I have for education, and also as part of my commitment to support the younger ones to attain higher academic heights”.
