Member representing Yagba Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Leke Abejide, has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the constituents.
He made known when he paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, (HRM) Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, the Elulu of Mopa, at the Royal Majesty’s Palace.
The visit focused on development, welfarism, and regional security, with emphasis on protecting lives and properties as recipe to promoting peaceful coexistence amongst communities.
Abejide highlighted the crucial roles’ traditional rulers play in peace-making, and serving as role models, urging them to be good ambassadors and maintain transparency in all affairs.
The meeting was attended by prominent traditional figures, including the Alamuro of Amuro, and other esteemed leaders from host and neighboring communities.
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Public Communications, Bashiru Abdul Mohammed, stated, that the visit underscores his principal’s commitment to collaborating with traditional institutions on driving development and security initiatives in Yagba Federal Constituency and neighboring border-communities for strengthened cooperation to clamp down on border-miscreants.
