Home Coming Festival: 2nd Edition of ‘Ile Ya Omo Okun’ Holds December 28

The Yeye Oge of Okun Land and Aare Yeye of Yoruba land, Omoleye Adebanji Aiyelabowo has announced that the second edition of the home coming festival, Ile Ya Omo Okun, will hold in Kabba on December 28.

Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on the event, Aiyelabowo said the second edition of the festival will further reinforce the efforts of Yeye Oge of Okunland office’s to propagate the rich cultural heritage of her people.

She said her office will continue to work towards the unity of Okun nation.

“The Ile Ya Omo Okun Festival will feature programs and event geared towards reorienting and rechanneling the energy of the younger generation into productive activities that will solve today’s societal problems, as well as emerging ones.

“The home coming festival will feature Ogo Okun Awards, Omidan Oge, Iya Ni Wura Special Recognition, Okun Super Cooking Competition and Yeye Oge Cares,” she said.

The event is scheduled to hold on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 95 Degrees Event Center, Kabba, Kogi State by 11:00am.
