High Chief Meka Adesina-Soje Distributes Educational Materials to Students, Teachers in Ogori-Magongo

A philanthropist and convener of Ododo Vanguard Ogori-Magongo, High Chief Meka Adesina-Soje has flagged off massive distribution of educational materials to the students and teachers in Ogori Magongo local government area of Kogi state.

The flag off ceremony, which was held at the local government secretariat witnessed large turnout of people and top government functionaries led by the commissioner for education, Honourable Wemi Jones, who represented the governor of Kogi state, Ahmed Ododo.

Performing the flagging off ceremony, Wemi Jones noted that Ogori-Magongo is renowned for education, and any effort geared toward sustaining the legacy is highly appreciated. He described the initiative of Meka Adesina-Soje as aligning with the school adoption and mentorship programme of the state ministry of education.

With the flagged off of the distribution of the educational materials which includes ten thousand Unit of 60leaves exercise books for students, one thousand Unit of 80leaves higher education lesson note for teachers, one million two hundred chalks, one million two hundred markers for teachers, five thousand pen, one thousand pencils and one thousand sharpeners. The donor, High Chief Meka Adesina-Soje said the initiative which is aimed at supporting the effort of governor Ahmed Ododo in education, was born out of giving back to his community and easing the burden of parents and teachers.

Other dignitaries at the occasion, including the commissioner for works, Muhammed Yusuf, commissioner for housing and urban development, Taiye Abanika and a host of others applaud the humanitarian service of Meka Adesina-Soje, charging beneficiaries to make good use of the materials given to further promote the educational standard of the local government.

Beneficiaries appreciate the humanitarian service of High Chief Meka Adesina-Soje, which they said is not limited to education alone, but cut across every sphere of life.
