Ladies and Gentlemen,  it pleases me to put my pen on paper to write to the general public and to appreciate the people’s Governor, His Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello , The Executive Governor of Kogi State on his recent work and development in the state.
It took me time to assess and to research on the activities of Kogi state since her creation.
This government is the first in the state that have carried the Central, East and West along with justice, equity and fairness in her activities.
This unity we have longed for, today have come to stay without guns but divinely and through means of good will in the state.
The foundation upon which sustainable democracy and indeed any other thing in the society can be built is peace. but there can never be true, lasting peace without justice. I have spent much of my time showing concern for peace and Justice, pursuing its course not only in my state Kogi but also in my place of residence Lagos state.
Kogi democracy is a hard fought one. For it is to be consolidated and made eternal, peace and justice must be achieved in the entire state.
But a major worry that has unsettled my mind is that our political leaders, traditional rulers, and religious leaders appear not to have learnt anything on the need for peace and justice in order to protect the future of our generations, and those yet to be born, from the dangers of the disharmony that has characterized our existence as a state especially our effort at a sustained democracy, for a very long time.
Kogi as a state is in this moment dancing to the drum beats of her destiny under the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello the executive governor of Kogi state.
It marvels me when some still compare this administration with the past which sucked and molested the state and left her naked.
I do not expect the accidental public servants who abuse the state in past to core free without been probe  but I will rest my case on this.
I urge our political leaders both Central, East and West senatorial districts to come together to make it happen for the state and forget the past just as  the governor said in his speech after his victory at the tribunal. “Where he extended his hand of friendship to others asking them to join him in building the state to an enviable height.” This is the kind of leader we are looking for.
It is not by mistake that Kogi election went the way it did, it’s divinity in control and it is marvelous in our sight.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Kogi have gone through her groaning period.
A period where the worst of us ruled the best of us, a period where the sick and the weak were in power, a period where judgment is turned away, where equity and justice stands afar off; truth fallen in the street and equity cannot enter. What a groaning period my Jerusalem, (Kogi state) went through.
No matter how good you think you are as a leader, my goodness, the people around you will have all kinds of ideas for how you to get better. So for me, the most fundamental thing about leadership is to have the humility to continue to get feedback and to try to get better because your job is to try to help everybody else get better regardless of their religion and their political affiliations.
This the new direction I see our able governor going, surrounding himself with skillful men and women whos  passion is to see a state that work in their life time.
Your Excellency, When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even much more will be required. I pray for wisdom from above for you to write your name with gold in the hearts of Kogites in Jesus name. AMEN
We cannot talk of the victory of kogi without calling the almighty God who made it possible. God has placed us in the state where we are in now for such a time as this, just as Nigeria is looking unto God through President Muhammadu Buhari also Kogi is trusting God restore peace and good governance through Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration.
Good governance cannot be visible without the hands of the electorates; we need to guide and guard this gift.
Teamwork makes the dream work, but a vision becomes a nightmare when the leader has a big dream and a bad team. John C. Maxwell
The Kogi of our dreams is possible with Governor Yahaya Bello’s team, and as the well being of the state is put first before personal interest and as we do, I trust God that, for those in the arms of government, be filled with wisdom and understanding to run this state differently from the status quo.
