As part of activities marking her 47th birthday, the Director-General of Kogi State Social Investment Program Agency (KOSSIPA) and founder of My People First Foundation, Hajiya Aisha Oyiza Omade, has extended her generosity to hospitals across Kogi State, offsetting medical bills and supporting patients with financial assistance running into millions of naira.

The initiative, themed “Birthday Outreach 2025 — Health is Wealth,” was aimed at promoting healthcare support for indigent patients while emphasizing the importance of giving back to society.

The outreach began at Reference Hospital, Okene, where Hajiya Omade provided funds to patients across the Female, Male, and Accident & Emergency Wards. Payments were made both to the hospital’s account and directly into patients’ personal accounts to assist with medical bills ranging between ₦50,000, ₦100,000, and ₦200,000.

The team later visited Obangede Specialist Hospital, where additional financial aid was disbursed to patients in different wards, also within the ₦50,000 to ₦200,000 range.

The exercise was rounded off at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Health Centre (Comprehensive Health Centre), where more patients benefited from direct financial support provided through the foundation.

Speaking during the outreach, Hajiya Omade said she chose to celebrate her birthday through compassion and purpose rather than festivity.

“This outreach reminded me that true celebration lies in giving and touching lives. I am deeply grateful to God for His grace and for my two wonderful children who supported me throughout this mission of kindness and service,” she said.

She reaffirmed her foundation’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people, emphasizing that “Health is Wealth, and Giving is Living.”

Through her My People First Foundation, Hajiya Omade continues to demonstrate genuine compassion and leadership rooted in service, touching lives and strengthening communities across Kogi State.
