Gunmen Invades Kogi Community, Rustle 103 Cows

Unknown gunmen, on Thursday, attacked a Fulani settlement at Osuku, Kogi local government area of Kogi state.

The armed men killed two herdsmen and rustled no less than 103 cows in the attack.

Confirming the incident, the Ohimegye Igu of Koton-Karfe, Alhaji Abdulrazak Isah Koto, said the gunmen attacked the Fulani settlement on Thursday night.

The monarch said he immediately mobilized vigilante members to go after the bandits and they  recovered some cows.

He lamented the security situation in the area and called for a military base along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.

He stated that he received a call from the chief of Fulanis around 11:23 pm on Thursday that bandits had attacked their settlement.
