Ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state, Alh. Mouktar Atimah, on Tuesday said the people of the state are waiting for his party to save them from the present predicaments.
Atimah made this known during the party’s state executives and stakeholders meeting in Lokoja on Tuesday.
Atimah said Kogi people’s hope is on SDP to save them.
Speaking on the disqualification of the party’s candidates by INEC, Atimah said, “we are prepared for winning, we will overcome the illegal disqualification and salvage the people of Kogi state.
“The people of Kogi state are hoping on us to save them from the present predicaments, we cannot afford to fail the people of Kogi State, the party will set a new dawn in Nigeria when it produce the first female elected governor.”
Speaking, the Director General Natasha/Khalid Campaign Organisation, Dr. Baba Abdul disclosed that the members of the party have shown a strong commitment by standing with the party against all odds, adding that they must continue to preach the party’s vision to win more people and make the efforts of changing the narrative a reality.
Also speaking, the running mate of Natasha Akpoti, Engr. Khalid Adam enjoined the party faithfuls to work for the interest of the party at all levels with sincerity having in mind that they are on a mission to save the people of Kogi state.
