Ahead of Saturday gubernatorial election, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress is in Kogi state to bury Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “once and for all”.
El-Rufail made this known at the grand finale of the APC campaign rally in Lokoja on Thursday.
He called on women, youths and people of Kogi state to vote for Governor Yahaya Bello and the party’s candidate in the Kogi West senatorial rerun election, Senator Smart Adeyemi.
El-Rufai, who is the chairman national campaign council for Kogi elections, said there is no room for comparison between the APC candidates and the opposition candidates.
He said the characters involved are miles apart, “We are in Kogi to bury PDP once and and for all. We are going to finish them.
“Kogi west rerun is a contest between good and evil, seriousness and foolishness. We must not repeat the mistake of the past.”
Speaking, governor Bello who is running for reelection said he has saved the state from ethnicity and ethnic agenda.
“I know thugs have been imported for this election but I can tell you no thug will get out of Kogi alive. I advise them to get out now. Run now before you are caught.
“To the youths, I urged you to come out and vote, protect your vote and guide your vote until victory is declared. November 16 is a day with destiny. We are going to be smiling after victory,” he said.
