Kogi State Government has been called upon to take proactive steps towards completing the Idah-Ejule-Anyigba road to fast-track vehicular movement.
The Group of Three, GO3, club, a group of diverse professionals in Ofu LGA made the appeal in a communiqué issued at the end of their monthly meeting held at Itobe recently.
The communiqué signed by the GO3 leader, Mallam Shaba Alifia, and the Acting Secretary, Alhaji Danmusa Yusuf, called on political office holders in Ofu, Igalamela, Ibaji and Idah to unite and work for the development of their constituency.
They said Idah road is of paramount importance to the entire Igala people of Kogi East Senatorial District as it is considered as the oldest route to the ancestral headquarters of the Igala people.
GO3 also called on Kogi State Government and SUBEB not to toy with the salary of primary school teachers who they describe as the custodians of their children’s education.
The group equally called on the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the coming elections.
The GO3 however commiserated with the family of soldiers who lost their lives in the on-going war against the insurgents in the north-eastern part of the country, saying the Nigerian people appreciate their loyalty and sacrifice to their father land.
