A group,’ Kogi Rescue’ has raised an alarm over the move by a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Jibrin Isah (A.K.A) Echocho to truncate the re-scheduled primary slated to hold tomorrow.

The Coordinator of the group, Mallam Kashim Bello and Secretary, Dr. Odiba John Agbiti at media briefing with some selected media houses in Lokoja yesterday said it is very unfortunate that the National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP could not see the traps set before the party by the All Progressive Congress, APC with the candidature of Echocho.

The group said they were still wondering how Echocho who have no followership or command any one in PDP in the state could go about peddling false hood that if the incumbent governor, Captain Idris Wada is given ticket the party will loss the November 21st governorship poll.

They said the group is a body of professional people cut across banks, labour unions and student activists but card carrying members of PDP in the state.

They further alleged that a meeting was held in the house of Abuja based former governor of the state were it was planned that a tension should be created on the day of the primary election so as to scare delegates away then the process will be compromised.

They warned that if the election is not conducted in a transparent, free, fair and credible then they should be ready to see mass exodus of major stake holders of the PDP to another party.

“The issue is that if Echocho wins in a manipulated processes, All of us will quit PDP and give our support to another candidate in any political party to win”. The group threatened.

They warned that PDP should not use its hands to kill the party in kogi state adding that Echocho can not be the choice for the people.
