A Socio-political youth group in Omala, Kogi state, Omala Youth Network, (OYN), has commended the Executive Chairman of Omala local government, Hon. Labaran Y. Oyigebe for putting the interest of the people above personal interest.
The Patron of the organization and one time Secretary and acting Chairman of the council, Hon. Reuben Odaudu, who stated this yesterday noted with satisfaction the decision of the chairman to embark on initiatives that would go a long way in bringing youth restiveness to a halt through youth empowerment programmes.
According to the group, the Hon. Oyigebe led administration is on the right track and making huge progress.
According to Odaudu, “Hon. Labaran is doing excellently well and we foresee Omala moving to the next level. On behalf of Omala Youth Network, we pledge our unalloyed support for his people-oriented administration and urge him not to be deterred in his cause to transform Omala for the better.”
He said the only panacea for peace and development is good leadership, which he said the chairman have exhibited, calling on the people to support his vision.
“The only way to guarantee peace and development is through quality leadership. The present chairman have exhibited good leadership quality. I called on our people to continue to support his vision and mission” Odaudu maintained.
He stressed the need for Omala people to continued to work in harmony, noting that the area cannot attain its zenith politically without unity and cohesion.
Odaudu also commended Governor Idris Wada on the state youth empowerment programme, YAD4KOGI, which he said has “taken the youth off the streets”.
