Four gifted students who were offered scholarship by the Rector of Nigeria Korea Friendship Institute (NKFI), Williams Charles Oluwatoyin for constructing SUV and other automobiles resumed today in grand style as they were conveyed in their self made automobiles.
Recall that the students, namely Samson Emeje, Yusuf Ayuba, Tenimu Abubakar and Joshua Zekeri formerly students of Saint Peters College Idah were recognized for their exceptional technical skills following their remarkable display of innovative skills during the 2021-2022 Junior Engineering and Technology (JET) exhibition.
The four students according to earlier reports demonstrated their abilities by manufacturing SUV cars, trucks, and tricycles using locally sourced materials.
The students who resumed in the early hours of Monday at the institute, drove all the way in the self built transportation from Idah LGA to the Institute in Felele, Lokoja and were welcomed grandly as they began the pursuit of a formal and globally recognized certification.
Welcoming the students, the Rector said they were on the path of becoming globally employable noting that the institute would give them the needed leverage to acquire more globally accepted knowledge and be able to offer their skills even on a global scale.
He added that upon completion of their courses, the skilful young men will not be an addition to the already bloated unemployed youths in the society, but rather they would have several opportunities and also become employers of labour.
He emphasized the importance of aiding young people to further develop their talents for the betterment of society.
