Kogi State Government has assured that work on the Bond-financed multi-lane roads in Lokoja metropolis would be executed with vigour in the fiscal year.
The state governor Captain Idris Wada who made this known in his budget speech added that the state road maintenance Agency would be given necessary assistance to maintain roads in the state. He said that government would sustain the maintenance of existing road networks in the state and strive to expand some good and motor able roads in the three senatorial districts of the state.
In the area of transport, Governor Wada said that government shall establish standardized and functional equipment for Driver’s testing Grounds in the three senatorial districts of the state. He added that government would procure towing-vans for enhanced effectiveness in service delivery. The state government, he further said would ensure the construction, reconstruction and equipping of fire service stations at designated place in the state especially, Lokoja the state capital.
