Spokesperson of the Dino Melaye Governorship campaign council, Barr. Omoyeni Olumudi, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate would emerge victorious in the upcoming November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.

Speaking on AIT Democracy Today, Olumudi, said unlike Melaye who rose to prominence from a track record of effective representation in various legislative positions, both in the federal house of representatives and the Senate, the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Usman Ododo, emerged with the support of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Olumudi said Kogi citizens only knew Ododo as “the originator of the percentage salary” policy.

She expressed optimism that the PDP candidate will triumph over APC misrule in the Kogi state election.

She bemoaned the years of anguish Kogi citizens had endured under what she described as the “APC misrule” that had plagued the state for almost eight years.

Responding to members of the PDP who had defected to the APC, Barrister Omoyemi emphasized that Dino Melaye’s acceptability transcended party lines, asserting that the majority of his supporters were not PDP members.

She invited those who thought their interests would be better protected under the APC to exercise their freedom of choice but confidently stated that Dino Melaye’s vision and blueprint would reset Kogi State and set it back on the path to progress.

Drawing attention to the crucial issues facing the state, Barrister Omoyemi stressed that Dino Melaye’s priority would be to secure the lives and properties of Kogi citizens while ensuring their welfare.

She stated that Dino would tap into the potentials of the state, exploring avenues for growth, development, and prosperity.
