Governor Yahaya Bello a God-sent We Must Hold Tight Unto – Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja has described his boss, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as a God-given leader that is dedicated to moving the state forward, hence the need for citizens of the state to hold unto him.

He said the Governor has heralded the message of peace and unity of the state to ensure that Kogi State reaches its full potential in the comity of states in the country.

He made the revelation on Monday in Lokoja when Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello (GYAB) Consolidation Movement paid him a visit in his office to expressed their support for the Governor’s second term bid.

Onoja also noted that the Governor’s emergence to the Lugard House was divine and was meant to correct the numerous anomalies of the past that had clogged the wheel of progress of the State.

The Chief of Staff pointed out that for more  than twenty years, past leaders in the State had left developmental problems of the State unattended to for their self interest, adding that as an Igala Man, his own Igala Agenda was to ensure that Governor Yahaya Bello remained in office for a second term as he was obliged to repay his kind gesture to his people with kindness.

He highlighted numerous developmental projects facilitated and implemented by Governor Yahaya Bello, an Ebira man, within Kogi East which past leaders from the region neglected.

Hon Onoja stressed that about 90 percent of Igala Land that had been in darkness would soon experience light because of the detribalized nature of Governor Bello, noting that the Governor had scored excellent in security, environment, infrastructure, civil service reform and would in no time lay to rest the concerns of unpaid salaries in the State.

The Chief of Staff thanked the group for their support, stating that as partners in progress, their visit would ensure that they were armed with information to be able to drive a positive narrative for the State to persons within and outside the State.

Earlier in an address, chairman of the body, Alhaji Raji had informed the gathering that the organisation comprised individuals from all parts of the state, noting that their desire was to see that Governor Yahaya Bello retained his position as Governor.
