Governor Yahaya Bello on Tuesday formally introduced his successor, Kogi State Governor-elect Ahmed Usman Ododo to the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) in Lagos.
He introduced Ododo to other serving governors at the Lagos State Government House in Marina, before their subsequent visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s residence in Ikoyi for a Christmas homage.
In characterizing Ododo as the ‘new luminary’ of the forum, the Chairman of the NGF and Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, extended a warm welcome, expressing heartfelt congratulations on Ododo’s triumph in the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.
Following the deliberations, the governors, alongside Kogi State Governor-elect Ahmed Usman Ododo, paid a visit to President Tinubu for Christmas homage.
This occasion not only witnessed the exchange of pleasantries but also facilitated substantive interactions with the President, delving into discussions that revolved around the paramount issues of national security and the intricacies of the economy.
