Governor Bello Condoles With Family of Late APC Zonal Chairman, Ropo Asala

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has condoled with the family, friends and associates of the former Vice Chairman, Kogi West of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Ropo Asala who died on Saturday at the age of 54.

The Governor’s condolence message was contained in a statement made available to journalists by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed.

Governor Bello who described the news as rude shock said “the news about the death of Hon Ropo Asala was a rude shock to me. A great loss to our party and the people of Kogi State.

“Asala was a quiet man, consummate party leader who played several defining roles in the success of our party as Zonal Chairman, Kogi West. He will be remembered for his great patriotism. As a patriot who served the state to the best of his ability, he will be dearly missed.”

While grieving with the deceased family, friends and the Kogi State All Progressives Congress, Governor Bello affirmed that the state has lost a selfless leader and peacemaker and promised to stand with the family at this moment of grief.

While urging the bereaved family to take solace in the peaceful life Asala had lived, the Governor prayed that his soul rests in peace and for God to grant his family, friends and associates the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

Hon Ropo Asala who hailed from Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State died Saturday, 13 July 2019 at the age of 54. Until his death, he was the APC Vice Chairman, Kogi West Senatorial District.
