The cabal surrounding Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello will serve as a clog in his wheel of progress and be his albatross in the next gubernatorial election in the state. The cabal are capitalizing on APC’s so-called popularity to seek elective positions, however, the governor cannot get the mandate of Kogites at the polls.
The cabal are dangerous elements. Those deceiving the governor were the former members of the PDP who dumped the party and moved closer to APC after the successful story of the party.
These cabals seeking elective positions are betrayers. They betrayed PDP; the party which made them what they are today. They will also betray him as soon as they get what they want, just as they are calling PDP all sorts of names and regard APC like god now. They will turn their back on the party soon.
Ahmed Imam Umar has resigned his appointment alleging that “people in the system are not being truthful to themselves.”
According to him, it is difficult to operate under darkness and frustration adding that all his efforts to reposition the state was sabotaged. The governor is surrounded by people who always feed him with wrong information and do not wish him or the state well. The appointment which was given to him by other members of the State Assembly was actually in good faith but he resigned on the 4th August, 2017 based on reasons beyond his control.
When people in the system are not being truthful to themselves, the only solution for any man of integrity, after series of efforts to put things right failed, is to resign because it will be difficult to operate under darkness and frustration, the end will be no success.
The governor is surrounded by people that always feed him with wrong information but do not wish him or the state well, they always pretend to be good people but for their own selfish interest. These people do not want the Governor to succeed. The cabal around the governor always block honest and truthful persons from getting free access to him.
For that reason, Ahmed Imam Umar and Hon Tim Nda Diche deemed it fit and tendered their resignation to him and not to be a party of what is happening.
They appreciated the governor for the opportunity given to them to render their services to the state, but they said unfortunately, we cannot continue.
I call on the governor to act decisively and hope that my epistle will contribute in some way in regaining our governance momentum.
This is an honest, frank and objective view of a patriotic Kogite. I hope it helps, and I apologize if it displeases you, Mr Governor. My duty to you is to tell you the truth as I see it. I’m a realist, I see something for what it is and I rendered it truthfully. I have no interest other than the progress of our state.
