The political situation in Kogi state have seriously been occupied with so much media brouhaha on the Governorship ticket of APC. Let me remind Kogites and all who care to listen and learn from precedence. The chances of emerging a candidate of a political party lay solely in the hands of the party executives, delegates and its members.
The political structure of All Progressives Congress (APC) is in the firm grip of the Governor and his sterling leadership acumen was just demonstrated in the last election.
How on earth can he lose primary elections?
In 2003, the PDP political structure of Anambra state was with the Ubahs and that made Governor Mbadinuju to lost out in the primaries. In the same year, Sen Ali Modu Sheriff also defeated Governor Mala Kachalla in the Borno primaries because he had the structures with him. Is it Timpriye Silva or Ambode who have tested the bitter pill of being brought in as a stooge and all losing the party structure management.
In Kogi state, APC or the Governor doesn’t have a godfather. It is just me and you and the structures of the party is all with us.
Direct, indirect or even consensus, Governor Bello is ready for primaries. As for the opposition, keep directing your energy on who flies the APC ticket while we keep consolidating on the gains of the moment.
