I am pained and deeply disappointed by the recent shameless utterances of the governor of my dear Kogi state, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello. It is rather disappointing that at a time when the people of Kogi state are clamoring for good governance amidst the shabby and shoddy governance in the state, the governor has decided to lash out at past leaders by calling them “unfit to be gate keepers”.
Recall that before now, the polity seem to be heated by the untimely demise of the late prince of the Niger (late Prince Abubakar Audu) the governor who never saw the light of the day and created a lacuna that saw GYB ushered in by the powers that be at the center of the helms of affair.
Make no mistake about it, I have nothing personal against the young governor. Like my bible made me to understand, I’m always praying for my leaders.
Ever since the inception of this administration, it has been from one bad news to another, in fact Kogi state is always on the news for negativity and the masses wallowing in poverty and penury as a result of the unending staff verification and Maladministration of the governor.
Aside surrounding himself with sycophants and people of petty mind, who has assumed a demigod like -status because they feed fat on our commonwealth against our collective good, the young governor is known for his penchant for squandering the state’s treasury on frivolous things.
ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO QUOTE ON RADIO FM LOKOJA,
“The only mistake we made as good people of kogi state for the past sixteen years is to allow the so called leaders who are not qualified to be gatekeepers to ruled us”
Yahaya Bello said his predecessors are not qualify to be gatekeepers”.

May I quickly remind my governor that respect is reciprocal and that a child who throw stones at elders in the market square will surely be stoned when he attains old age . The above statement by the governor to say the least is derogatory, inciting, uncouth, shameless and at best, unbecoming of a leader.
In all fairness, GYB is not even a more successful business man than his predecessors. For one who has constantly spent the state’s treasury with profligacy and who’s administration reeds of cluelessness and directionless to say the least is unfortunate.
I am using this medium to call on the elders of kogi state to call governor yahaya Bello to order, he should be focused on finding a solution to the lingering staff verification exercise that has bedeviled the state and led to loss of lives as a result of no payment of her workers (some close to 1year).
We are of different tribes and beliefs in our dear state, such utterances from the governor will only lead to a heated polity and a fragile relationship between the people involved in the Kogi state project.
A word they say is enough for the wise, He who have ears should listen. ….
