Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has distanced himself from the leadership change in the state House of Assembly.
This was contained in the press statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Abdulkarim Abdulmalik.
The Governor said as a believer in the principles of power separation, he would not undermine the authority of the state legislators to exercise the right to determine who leads them.
It would be recalled that the House has been battling with leadership issues before the inauguration of the present administration in the state.
Alhaji Bello also assured to keep working with the leadership of the Assembly to better the lots of the people of Kogi State, urging members to always put the interest of the state above personal interests.
