Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has commended the organizers of Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials (BEBM) Exhibitions for their efforts in promoting made in Nigeria building materials.
Bello said the effors are gradually creating positive impacts on the state economy and making shelter affordable for the citizens.
The Governor made this known at the dinner night to end this year’s edition of the exhibition.
Bello was represented by Hon. Ibrahim Akoyin, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor at the event.
He encouraged the organizers of the exhibition not to relent in their efforts of promoting made in Nigeria building materials and products which he asserted was capable of improving the state and nation’s local economy.
He noted that the exhibition remains one of the highly appreciated economic development initiatives by selfless private sector towards the growth of the state economy.
Governor Yahaya Bello urged the BEBM Exhibitions to mobilize professionals in the built and construction industry to vote for the APC candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo in the forthcoming governorship election In the state.
He noted that all professional bodies should embrace the APC governorship candidate for the state to witness greater development.
Akoyin emphasized that it is imperative for Usman Ododo to continue on the legacies of Governor Yahaya Bello because it is through the succession of government that the people can be guarantee of steady growth and development of the State.
Earlier in his address, the Convener, Hon. Oladipo Makakese Bayode encouraged practitioners and the government to invest in events that can promote indigenous products in the building and construction industry in order to boost the economy growth of the State and the nation at large.
The Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition is an annual event of the BEBM Exhibitions. The 2023 edition is the 5th series of the Exhibition which was well attended by notable giant companies in the building and construction industry such as Dangote Cement Factory Obajana, West African Ceramic Limited Ajaokuta amongst others
