There is an ongoing real battle in Kogi State that is only known by few people. The only few people that have discerned early what it means to govern a State already sealed and stamped for perpetual retrogression and misery.
The real battle in Kogi State is not tribal, political, ethnic, region or religious battle. The real battle in Kogi State confronted by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, is the battle of salvaging the State held down in misery by some “powerful and influential” people in the State. This is the reason why some undiscerning people, both home and abroad tried to shroud the real battle in Kogi State with political rivalry and pedestal politics. Let it be known to all that, Governor Yahaya Bello is fighting no one and will never fight anyone but he’s aggressively and meticulously fighting a real battle in Kogi State.
The previous destructive mismanagement of Kogi State can damped the most zealous and good intentioned leader. The under belly cancerous politics in Kogi State can shame even the most barbaric people. The rot in the State hidden for so long is now revealed. The rot can make any stone hearted individual weep.
If there is any love left for Kogi State by its own, that love must be demonstrated in knowing that the real battle in Kogi State is the battle by the present government under the energetic and unwavering leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, to make Kogi State a place where everyone can fulfill his legitimate and well meaning dreams and live life with ease.
Now, all forms of acrimony, malice, and grudge must be abandoned in the dustbin of the past. God, by His unquestionable wisdom and kindness has smiled on Kogi State by giving us Governor Yahaya Bello. I am sure that even the Governor himself is “helpless” about this God given mandate. We must all rise in one accord to help fulfill this mandate to the betterment of our dear State.
