Kogi State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, has assured the people of Okun land of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to development of the area.
Speaking with a newsman in his office in Lokoja on Monday, Fanwo disclosed that Gov. Ododo has been pushing for the rehabilitation of Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin Road and will not relent until it is fixed.
He bemoaned the deplorable condition of the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin road but assured that Gov. Ododo understands that the road is important to the socio-economic development of Okun land.

Commenting on the recent meeting of Kogi West leaders convened by a former Deputy Governor, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, Fanwo urged the people of Okun land and Kogi West to embrace unity.
He said was a calculated attempt to provide qualitative leadership for the district.
He explained that beyond politics, the meeting centred on security, attracting development to Okun and the unity of purpose of the area.
He expressed appreciation Architect Yomi Awoniyi, former Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Chief Olushola Akanmode, Chief Abiodun Ojo among others for their understanding in joining the Governor to build a better and united Kogi State.
On the viral video of Governor Ododo directing his appointees to go back to the ward and unite with their people, Chief Fanwo stated that the move was for political office holders to earn the trust of the people.
He expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the just concluded APC ward, local government and state congresses, describing it as an indication that Governor Ododo has provided purposeful leadership for all.
